We, as a company, are incredibly passionate about making a difference in communities all over the world. We wanted to take the time to highlight the love and light dance brings to people's lives. Our team is beyond excited to showcase our partnerships that have truly affected the world in a positive way. Hand in hand with these organizations, we can share the passion and dedication to develop, inspire, and give back. Dancing is a universal language that can empower, connect, and build healthy communities.

PLIES FROM UGANDA

When California dance teacher, Vicki-Marie Bassing, arranged to teach dance classes to kids, teenagers and adults in Kiryabicooli, Uganda, she reached out to Só Dança to aid in this venture. Vicki-Marie’s goal was to share her love of dance to the Ugandan people and provide them with the best quality dance gear. Upon hearing her proposal, we were immediately onboard with Vicki-Marie’s mission to provide the gift of dance to that village in Uganda. Our shoes and clothing traveled near and far before finding their way onto the happy bodies of the boys and girls.

PRINCESSES BALLET

Our partnership with Princesses Ballet began in 2018 when we heard the intent and passion of their mission. Princesses Ballet is a subsector of City Gospel Mission. City Gospel Mission is a long standing organization that was established in 1924 by James N Gamble. The overall goal of this non-profit is to equip those in need with skills and resources aiding them in achieving life transformation and self-reliance.

PLACE OF HOPE

Só Dança is proud to partner with an organization that embraces the mission to end cycles of abuse, neglect, homelessness, and human trafficking creating a path of hope through healing and restoration.

When some of our Só Dança staff members, including CEO Lisias Ransan, attended one of the educational workshops in the community, we knew we wanted to do more as a company. “After viewing the film and learning more about this serious issue in our community and around the world, I knew we needed to use our platform to promote change.”- Lisias Ransan, CEO

With the situation in Europe becoming direr with each day, it is easy to feel helpless.

Só Dança, along with our local retail partners, would like to help out young dancers that will be arriving in the US after fleeing Ukraine.
